Which Soundcard....?

Since installing this, I cant open Folder Options anymore. That means I cant change the View Hidden Folders option anymore. Even when manually adding the Folder Options icon to the tool bar, clicking it does nothing.

Overclock question about 2600+

Hi, I`ve managed to get a AthlonXP 2600+ 333FSB to boot & stay stable at 2.2Ghz using 200FSB*11 memory @333(166*2)(83%) and 2.13Ghz using 170FSB*12.5 memory 340(170*2)(100%) so my question is which is the faster of the two ? The reason i ask is at 2.

This is the third beta release for Dets. with no Windows ME,9x support. I will not be strong armed into upgrading to XP. This is not fair. I have a G2U, which I plan to upgrade in the spring and with these tactics, I may go with ATI.

I want a new sound card. If I get an Audigy 2 do I have to install all the creative software in order to get full functionality? I would like to install just the drivers thats all.

New Beta Audigy1 Driver Problem...Help!

I have the Audigy 1 and i just installed the new Beta Performance drivers. They install without any problems, but when I goto listen to music on winamp, media player 9 or any other program I only get sound from the front left and right.

Easiest way to connect pc to hub not using a cable

Hi, Just a quick question. I want to connect another pc to my existing hub/ADSL set-up. The only issue is that the computer is in another room, and i dont really want to lay a network cable around the room and under doors etc.

3GHz P4 800FSB maybe running a little slow... help!

with my newfound hyperthreading, i mostly run seti@home and other processor intensive applications. . . but it seems slow at times. From what I read around a 3GHz should be able to do a seti packet in around 90 minutes, but mine takes 2.

why is that a 'must read'. . . the conclusion was that it is pretty much useless to have that much memory on a video card for what current applications require.

Cheap DDR Ram

Hey guys, Can anyone help me find some cheap ram? I've got a Dell Dimension 8200, which obiviously has stupid DDR ram, and I only have 256MB. I'm looking for the cheapest possible way to upgrade this, cos I hear it has to be installed in symmetrical rows etc.

Ok, here the deal. I have a 2 year old Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 60 60GB hard drive and it's gone down. Really down. The POST say's the primary hard drive has failed.

have a choice of h/d upgrades 133 ide 80g maxtor 8 meg cache or sata 150 80 g maxtor what are the differences in speed(not so much benchmarks but what i would see) £3 difference in price(+£15 for the converter) 2800 barton 7va m/b should i go with the sata or stick with ata for now?

A7N8X2.0 booting problems

I've just got this new motherboard and a new 160GB SATA drive. I installed WinXP with no problems yet after a reboot windows won't load. I've set the BIOS to boot from every device possible and still nothing.

Removing a floppy drive and use >>

do i have to use a floppy drive or can i use a 6 in 1 internal media drive and still be able to boot from it w/media card like flashcard. The drive is usb mount on motherboard.
