Hello everyone
I have been looking for a new graphics card and noticed this card at a local computer store for $209 AUS.
Short specs:
_____________________________________
nVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 GPU
64/128MB DDR memory (128 for me  )
Support TV-output
Support DVI-I monitor
Microsoft DirectX 9.0 and OpenGL 1.4 support
______________________________________
For more info http://www.leadtek.com.tw/3d_graphic/winfast_a340_td_1.shtml
I currently have a SiS650  built into my motherboard and am sick of the quality and jerkiness of this.
I am not an "extreme gamer" but am looking for a better gaming experience.
If anyone can give me some opinions on this card it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Dan

the geforceFX 5200 boards are crap. You'd better go for a Ti4200 or Radeon 9500, even if you're no extreme gamer. compare for yourself

Thanks for the fast reply,
I guess i'll be getting a Ti4200 or Radeon 9500 then.
Which of these two would you recommend:
ATI RADEON 9500 128/DVI/TV -OUT $349aus
LEADTEK GF4 TI4200 A280 VIVO/DVI/128/8X $339aus
Considering:
My motherboard supports 1x/2x/4x AGP
Got a P4 1.6ghz
256 mb ram
Thanks again

well in terms of performance those cards should roughly be on the same level. But NVidia (still) has more reliable drivers. So I'd most likely choose the 4200.
yes, thats right, the Radeon has more features, but currently nobody really needs them due to the lack of supporting applications. I must however admit that I cant really judge the driver quality, but there are definitely more people complaining bout issues with Ati drivers than about NVidia drivers. If you can get a 9500 Pro for the price of a 4200 it might be a good buy, though.
