Working fine for me, do you have the firewall AV or other blocker software either turned off or set to allow ?

I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work. I even took some spare parts and built a very basic box that I did a fresh install of 2K on, installed ZoneAlarm off a CDRW and configured it. All is working except Windows Update. I have 2 2K Pro, XP Pro and XP Home, and a Server 2003 box that it doesn't work on. I e-mailed Microsludge but no response back yet...

I've had the same problem on XP. Follow the URL listed below and download the install program for Widows Update. Worked just fine for me!

For Windows 98 and Windows Millenium Edition:
download the controls from http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/cab/x86/ansi/iuctl.cab and
save them to your desktop. Extract the .cab file following the steps below:

1. Go to the desktop and right click the iuctl.cab file.
2. Click "Extract to."
3. Point to a known location (like the desktop) and click "OK."
4. Go to the location you selected and right click on the iuctl.inf file.
5. Click "Install."

For Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003:
download our controls from http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/cab/...icode/iuctl.cab and save them to your desktop. Extract the .cab file following the steps below:

1. Go to the desktop and right click the iuctl.cab file.
2. Click "Open".
3. Select all the files listed.
4. Right click on them and click "Extract."
5. Point to a known location (like the desktop) and click "OK."
6. Go to the location you selected and right click the iuctl.inf file.
5. Click "Install."
