according to some news that was on here a few weeks ago due to ATI's new policy of rolling out a new GPU architecture every two years the 9900 is a long way away.
then its fortunate that the 9900 isnt a new architecture...

El_coyote you need to suck sucking the ATI ass and be open about faults and things with ATI, every company has them, even NVIDIA, and UNFORTUNATLY theirs nothing on the 9900 yet, but theirs something on the NV40, which is good, because in that conference from NVIDIA they remarked about ATI yet to having anything new
Nvidia has a 6 month product cycle, meaning nv40 6 months from 5900, meanin in just under a year well see a 9900,
From a feature or technical point of view the FX5900 Ultra and NV40 which won't hit retail for at least January / February / March 2004 Nvidia has an advantage over ATI's R3xx core.
I expect that ATI is only increasing memory and core clocks this year but nothing revolutionary new will appear. Catalyst Maker described that as 'performance headroom'.
Well performance is nice but Nvidia has the right marketing strategy: more effects for NV users...
