F***d up careers teacher.
Well my careers class started off by me going to the class room and finding out that the class was to meet in room 140(computer lab). So I headed down to room 140. I said hello to my careers teacher and I sat down.. He gave out the seating plan and every one went to there designated computer. Sounds peaceful but here's where it all goes down hill.. I'm about to logon but then I'm told I can't because they couldn't find my internet permission form which I remember handing in at the begging of the year. The funny thing is I used the internet in that very computer lab many times before that for my business class with no problems. Personally I think the forms are a bunch of crap and a waste of paper they are written on but that's another rant. Well anyways I spent the rest of the period bored out of my skull humming "It's the song that never ends, it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was and they'll keep singing if for ever because it's the song that never ends........." Well I'm really board now and I almost fall asleep when my head falls and hits (more like a soft tap) the screen turns all pink.... one guy goes hey what are you doing... this causes my careers teacher who is a large beast of a man who has no regard for what he says or how he affects other people feeling said "FIX IT!"
ME: "AHH It does this once and awhile you have to tip it a certain way to get it back.
Teacher: "FIX IT NOW!!!!"
ME: "OK one sec I'm trying"
Teacher "NOW"
ME: "I can't"
Teacher: "Then shut it off and sit over here.."
I shut off the monitor.
Teacher: "Shut it off properly"
I'm now thinking he wants the tower shut down now so I turn back on the monitor so I can logon and shutdown the "proper" way.
Then he gets mad and said move. then he turns of the monitor again and then improperly shuts down the computer by hitting the off switch.
ME: "...."
Teacher: "NO sit over there."
I move my chair where he is pointing..
Teacher: "NO sit on the floor."
I passively resist.
Teacher: "Sit on the floor now and shut up!"
I passively resist
teacher: "You do not have the privilege to sit on a chair like the rest of us."
this really ticks me off but I follow his orders and sit on the floor, then Jeff and a few others laugh at me.. I'm about to snap and kill Jeff by stabbing him with my pen but I chose to walk out of the class... good thing Mr. Camble didn't try and stop me because I probably would have killed him or Jeff. I chose from one of three options, leave, kill Jeff or stay in there and get laughed at which would have brought what ever little self confidence, pride, and my id I have left into the ground. you see my decision wasn't that bad.
I think Mr. Camble's attitude is too aggressive. He is also very ignorant, he thinks he's right and you are wrong no matter what. He draws conclusions way too quickly. He reacts to aggressively when I try to object him. I think he thinks I'm stupid or something and I'm not worthy enough to argue with him. I think the main thin that caused this was his ignorance, as my readers you know I'm a electronic/computer hobbyist but he ignores me when I try to offer and explanation of what's wrong... he assumed that I'm one of those punk kids that screw up computers and vandalize, smoke ect. Well parents today you don't have to worry about your kids being beaten by teachers and leaving bruises all over , but you do have to worry about what teachers can do mentally leaving many psychological scars that will effect and emotionally scar your child for the rest of there lives..

Wow!
My teacher actually agrees to go back and re-think what she said when I tell her something might be wrong...

Only in america
I empathize with your situation. Just because it crossed my mind, however, it would be interesting to hear what your teacher's version of events were. The way you describe it makes his actions seems way out of line - and maybe they were - but it would still be interesting to know what was going on in his head. Two sides to every story...
 englands no exception. Were not full of posh people btw.
We get all these cover teachers from Australia trying to give it the hard man attitude (Mr.Sharland. Pedophile). lol funny you said this. I got kicked out yesterday from class for saying im going to do well in the test!
Shit happens and life goes on... :)

I used to live in Britain, and I had a supply teacher from New Zealand going on about how it will kill the world if I use a piece of paper instead of a book.....or something :P
Well here's an update my friend gave.
Follow up:
Mr. Campbell came to talk to me the other day when I ran into him in the hall. He said come here, thinking that he was ready to talk about it he asks where did I go. I tried telling him that I left because I couldn't sit there being laughed at and him letting them get away with it. He replies well if you weren't screwing around with the computer people wouldn't have laughed at you in the first place. I try and explain to him that I didn't screw up the monitor on purpose. He didn't believe me and calls me a liar. I say fine don't believe me. He said just don't do it again and I walk off to my next class. Being made to look like a fool in front of the class is one thing but calling me a liar pushes me too far forcing me to publish this.
I live by the law that respect from me is exchanged, not given.
I give respect to whomever respects me.
It have been a problem with authority figures all my life. I skipped military becouse of it, teachers never liked me, and I have arguments with my boss from time to time, but I keep my job as long as we are friends.
My attitude is my pain, but also my strongest advantage.
And im proud of it.
Best Regards

lmao . Yup we get teachers from New Zealand too. It's mainly New Zealand and Australia.
Why'd you leave Britain and where do you live now?
Work...my dad's that is..thats the reason I went with him when I was 4, and the reason I've come back when I was 13, and the reason I'm going to go back in July...I'll be 15 :P

I live in France, my native country...
Trust me, I'm a teacher
If things happened exactly as you say, then you should get your parents to write in to the head teacher complaining about being made to sit on the floor. It is so wrong for the teacher to try and humiliate you by making you sit on the floor.
Unfortunately unless you make the thing too official to ignore you will not get anywhere by complaining. In the UK the head teacher has a legal responsibility to act on any written complaint from a parent, and if the incident described happened at the school I teach at, I know that the member of staff involved would at the very least have to justify his actions to the head, and to be honest I don't think he will be able to justify them, thereby landing him in a load of crap, and he will NOT be able to retaliate.

Tell me...in this particular case, he can't risk losing his job can he ?
No, he wouldn't lose his job for that alone, but if there had been similar complaints before then it's a possibility.
Things to consider
Everyone has shit days and makes bad decisions, especially in stressful situations. It is possible that 10 other things have got the teacher ever more wound up through the day and that this last thing made him snap.
The teacher will view the incident as making him look bad as in the eyes of the headteacher, as it looks like when that teacher's classes are on the PCs, stuff gets broken.
Is the guy known for being a bully or humiliating people? some teachers are utter wankers with an "i'm right, you're wrong, because I am a teacher" attitude, these will often assume a peson is responsible just based on their opinion of that person
If the teacher is definitely a knob, take the mofo down.
