Warp2Search....future?
Hi guys, bad news. So last month a contract with a sponsor has quitted and I have to pay any byte on my own. The bill for november will be round about more than 2000 Euros (same in USD) and rising.

Hi guys, bad news.
So last month a contract with a sponsor has quitted and I have to pay any byte on my own.
The bill for november will be round about more than 2000 Euros (same in USD) and rising.
Warp2Search grows very fast and in the near future it is not possible finance this website if we do not find a solution.
Warp2Search is financed by private people, by Peter Mertin and me, Niels Thomsen, everybody put the half in this site and it is not possible with the jobs we do at the moment.
The advertisments does not cover half of the costs, payments from US-Adfirms arrives with 3 - 4 month delay, so we have to finance this also.
That s it look like at the moment.
Bad Bad......
The main problem is, that Warp2Search is to successfull, we grow up day by day, month by month and it s going to fast.
You see, success can kill you.
Also the bad economically situation in germany which makes it very hard to find advertisers and the ad blocking situation.
So Peter and I decided, if we do not find a solution up to January 2003, we will close Warp2Search caused of to much costs.
So, if you have a suggestion, or you know someone who is interested in cheap and good advertisement on this site,or want to donate a fee, please let us know.

This is indeed really bad news. This is my favorite website, has been my startpage for over a year!
Concerning the sponsors, is there a possibility to get one NOT from Germany? Or maybe more banners, Anyone can live with banners. And im sure if you ask, people will click them to support you, I know I will.

How about asking for donations? I, for one, would be glad to donate $$ to help keep Warp2Search on-line! How can I go about donating funds? I'm sure there are others that feel the same way. I visit this site 2 - 5 times a day for the news and the software update news. How can the everyday visitor help?? I really don't want to see y'all go offline!! $5 or $10 from everyone could go a looong way... Come on everyone, HOW ABOUT IT??
well... what do you think about providing us with facts. for example it would be helpfull to know how may page impressions this site has and even more importent huch much traffic it causes.

Traffic: November: 1,6 TerraByte !!

That s very, very nice from you that you suggested this. But one point is, for international transaction you need a credit card and it s very hard to get a credit card and payment system in Germany.
I know PayPal would work but for PP i need also a credit card and my bank does not give me one.

Oh yeah. I forget about that part. But there must be a way for people to donate if they want to and are able to - no matter what part of the world they live in. Any suggestions out there? How about from anyone running Warp2Search? Any suggestions there? I feel it would be a very worthy cause! Especially for the services the site provides.
Another question..If your bank doesn't offer a credit card, how are you able to purchase on-line? Just curious...
I buy in germany. And here i can pay with normal money transactions. Online banking.
In Germany the ppl does not pay that with CC, most cash or with a local card, not CC.

OK on the purchase transactions. Learn something new everyday. Anyway, since I live in the States and have a PayPal account, how do I go about donating to Warp2search. Can y'all receive PP transactions?
Nope. For PP i need also a CC, i i did not get one at my momentary financial situation. :-( Maybe Peter.
NIX ON THE PAY SITE! That would be the death of Warp2search! Besides, if they can't accept on-line donations, how will they collect a monthly fee?? How about international money orders by snail mail?? It's slow, but it's a way. It is sad that site like W2S have to struggle to stay on-line.
