Great work on the layout, IMO it looks much much better than the current one. However I think it still looks kinda messed up, too many items on the menu. I think the logo doesnt quite fit the layout too. Maybe a little darker. Maybe a good idea would be to merge the top and left menus into one so there will be more space for news vs the standard php nuke kind of layout. Maybe smaller font in the news body.

But hey dont worry about it too much, Im sure people don't come here for the looks but for the contents

Nice. But please I only ask you for one thing: Consider us that still use 800x600 (there can be a lot of reasons for this, believe me). In the actual site I don't need to scroll horizontally, in the new one I have to do it and it is very annoying.

im not too fond of all the orange colour.
it doesnt really have any links to warp2search, as its not in the logo.

Make the edges round!!! and make the orange bars rounded with a light source shadow behind it (and thinne).
You could change the orange to a dark purple which would look cool with the blue, or you could make a color swirl effect, with purple and blue.

I think it looks okay but needs a few improvements. Please make the text in the articles bigger, something like 12 font or whatever I don't really like reading small text. The comment system finally looks like it should, with edit/quote/etc. buttons and html (I presume). Nice work!

I hope you guys don't flame me for this while I believe the articles on W2S are pretty good, I think you guys should use of standard format for posting the articles to make the overall site look a little bit more professional. Right now it looks like a mess. Use standard fonts and sizes for all articles. Start the paragraph nicely, like Neowin does. Include a download/homepage/screenshot link and paraphrase everything nicely. Basically it should look neat and organized. Neowin does this very good while I am not saying you should be copying Neowin directly but perhaps a similar 'theme' of posting would be a good thing.

I can follow you on this. the text size and font is to my knowledge the same (i always post with the theme default).
as to the layout of the posts, We could propably work out to do it more uniform. but in my case it depends much on the submission if its not my own article. its only a few that include screenshots. most pictures included is often just small icons we put on the front page and downloading/installing/screenshotting every program submitted here(if theres none on their homepage) is too much for me personally. and We are not staffed like neowin are either

and ofcourse we wont flame you for this. Suggestions are most welcome.

Would be cool, if you could make the link to the "new" W2S sticky on the News-Page... might provide you with more information from the people... and I could visit it, too :roll:
