I tried then installing each driver individually...this this didn't work either!
Anyone know about this problem?
Is there a cure?
Thanks

There's no need for the Via drivers, except for some minor updates and the PFD patch which the installer does add. The 4in1's just keep Microsofts version (which were actually made by Via based on 4in1 4.32 for XP's release) because they're the latest working versions. There's not much to gain, if anything by forcing the other files to install.
OP
I was aware that XP has native support for VIA chipsets, but as you mentioned the new 4-in-1s add some 'minor updates and the PFD patch'.
What is the PFD patch?
And how will it affect stability / performance?
