VCR programs. Are they recomendable?

As I said in another topic, I have a LEADTEK WINFAST TV 2000 (the original one, not the tv 2000 xp). I saw some programs on the net like POWER VCR from Cyberlink (creator of Powerdvd), WINDVR II from Intervideo (creator of Windvd) and others that let you see the TV with them, instead of the typical program that comes wih the tv 2000. However, I wonder... Does anybody have these programs? Are they good? Do you reccomend me to use them instead of the one that comes with tv 2000? Please tell me about your experience with them, if you have used them of course.
