I just played the leaked demo and before you ask "NO" i will not post any kind of link or anything so dont ask!!! This post is mainly going to make 2 points...
1-the game is beautiful and music is awesome!! :
I do believe they have a hit on thier hands ....the maps are beautiful and music is top notch.......as far as gameplay if you like deathmatch you will love this game....myself im more into team games like RTCW and SOF2.....IMO any game that is just dm or -god forbid- ctf is not a game that has high replay ability for me.....and this opinion has nothing to do with the alpha build of the game it has to do with gameplay of deathmatch itself......im hoping the final release will have a gametype such as INF or OBJ based it would be sweet...or maybe just team ELIM....so we will wait and see....again ,im not putting this game down it is so beautiful(not-imo-close to any ID engine but not far either!!)and music hands down is mind blowing, in fact that has me wanting it more than anything else....I like gore and dismemburment in games and i couldnt tell if this game will have it ala Q3 or not but im sure that it will be good......
2.Dont download this "demo"
Im totally serious about that i was up all nite and to me it wasnt worth it i would not care if it was the whole game in final form it is a waste of time because this build is not final and its not any fun in this form.....there are no servers and IMO i have my own feelings on this...for one i wont do this again and im talking about "getting" this demo no matter what game it is(even doom3 which is the game im looking forward to!!) because these files are so big and like i said it isnt even final so it doesnt have all features turned on yet....next time ill just look at the screens they will give you more than this "demo" will believe me!!
In closing...
IMO ,I have had many "burnt" copies of games and have always used them as a demo.....I would rather buy the game so i dont have to worry about it not being right.....I dont mind paying 50-6- dollars for a game i like, and believe me if ii wanted i could copy and not pay i just dont think it is right....I do feel that game prices are kinda high, and dont believe the price is set thjat way because of illegal cpoies,and im also not sure if dropping prices to 20-30 would stop people from getting over...who knows??
