Trackpoint - intermittent button problem

This is a discussion about Trackpoint - intermittent button problem in the General Hardware category; These updated drivers are the same ones that were posted here last weekend. They have the 3232 direct3d and 3008 opengl. They still fail with the infinite loop issues.

I have a T21, and the trackpoint select button (the left click button) sometimes takes 2 or 3 clicks to register. Is there a way to clean the contacts on this button without taking the laptop to service?
