SP2 v2082 preview
SP2 2082 is by far nearing the final it's like SP2 original for dummies. . . They have fixed all the buggy and pains of the first release - it asks you several questions now upon first reboot and now has a shield with several options to turn everything off or on.

Of course I've posted about Firewalls, Virus Scanners and the like I DON'T use any so now these can be easily turned off and everything is running awesome on it so far...
The only thing I had happen was upon that first reboot after install I got a STOP error and a complete BSOD and of course the reboot that follows but everything has been perfectly fine since - not a single hitch - the first SP2 2055 was such a pain to get everything working again - but with this one is a must have and THE RELEASED version is going to ROCK with even more improvements...

So you're saying SP2 is going to be better than the un-noticed (for me, anyway) SP1? :D
another fault ... when you set XP SP2 firewall to ON and switch it to OFF its gone BUT no one can connect to your PC via ISC until reboot ...
but after reboot everythign works well
btw its not only updates since SP2 the startup has been optimised, too
normally win boots within some seconds .... the blue bar goes through 1 time max 2 .... but with audigy and det/cat installed it takes a longer time 3-4 times blue/green bar
since SP2 the Harddisk does not stand still using most efficient way to boot .... can't wait to slipstream SP2 final and install ... boot must rock then
btw boot prefetch disabled !

Me too. My wireless lan card stopped functioning properly. And I use it to share my internet connection. It was working flawlessly with SP2 build 2055 though. I noticed only one bug with SP2 build 2055: the printer spool service ate up all the cpu. But as I have no printer connected to the computer (and thus can disable the service) I consider installing build 2055 again, instead of SP1. The reason is the SP2 firewall. I deinstalled ZoneAlarm when I installed SP2 build 2055 and I have no intention to install it again because sooner or later I would deinstall it anyway when SP2 final arrives. Or does anyone know how to configure the SP1 firewall for ICQ file transfer?
