Yes hercs. In fact you can keep both of your IDE hard drives. Your new mobo should have 2 SATA ports & 2 IDE ports. At the mo' I'm running an ABIT NF7s-2 and have 2 x SATA drives in RAID 0, 2 x Maxtor IDE drives for storage plus DVD drive & CDRW drive. So go for it.

Doogie hit nail on head...

I have 2 SATA drives and have 2 CDRW on one of the IDE Controllers and can still add up to 2 more if I so desire...

That will allow you up to 6 Devices 2 per IDE channel = 4 and 2 SATA...

you can get a SATA -> PATA converter aswell, so you can use your regular ATA drives with SATA cables.

na ... unless you get some of those for free this is the most stupid thing to buy ... you can spend this money much more sensefull on SATA/PATA controllers or just a new and better motherboard
