Hi all,
I need to get some photos off a DVD, preferably in jpeg format.
Unfortunately, the DVD is in standard DVD format, with audio_ts & video_ts folders, full of .vob, .ifo & .buf files.
The pictures are in there somewhere, as there is a still gallery on the DVD, so how do I get them off?
Mark.

You can make a screen capture in jpeg format with WinDVD (and propably other software dvd players).
I'll try that if I can't get the actual pics off.
If I screen-capture, I'll never get the same resolution/composition as the stills have. Captures have a certain look that never quite has the quality of a well designed still photo.
Any ideas?

....
the problem
you experience is ....
those pics are save as a single video
not a long one for sure
but
every frame is one picture and the player is playing the video frame by frame
means 50 still images are around 2sec video
you should try DVD-Shrink
to analyse this content and maybe save it ... I haven't tryed that personally yet but
dvd shrink should be able to do this

Use PowerDVD's screenshot feature.
