From more than one resources i hav conformed that the .13 Throughbred will be installable on your current Palomino Compatible motherboards. The following is the chart mentioning some "Unofficial" stats.
Athlon XP Frequency Palomino Max. Palomino T-bred Max.
MHz Vcore Palomino power Vcore T-bred
, V core temp consumption , V core
oC , W temp,
oC

As you can see the Vcore temp and power comsumption is less in the .13 Throughbred(T-bred) as compared to .18 Palomino ver.

I guess many of warp2search readers are not english speaking so i would like to elaborate some points that come to my mind whenever i read that AMD/ Intel debaters get a life and it is silly to talk about AMD/Intel price/performance.
Although many people would like to say a performance PC is a luxury for the rich and spoiled brats the truth is, its actually not. I guess even a rich DAD or MOM would think 10 times when handing $1,000-$2,000 to his child to buy a comp so that he can play MAXPAYNE, QUAKE 3 or any other game at 200 fps. (If u have actually convinced ur parent to give u PC on this argument either you are genius or they are idiots).
If it wasnt for AMD and ATI we all still would have been using p-3 at $2,000+ and geforce 3 cards at $450+.
So if you think its a silly argument that AMD is giving a faster chip at lesser price or ATI is giving more FPS than NVIDIA think again.

Dude lol , u have missed the point big-way. The question here is not performance difference neck-to-neck(between AMD and Intel) but performance vis-a-vis price ratio including upgrading options sans/minus performance loss. Intel eats poop in this matter?

Ok, I had a small >1 hour debate with my friends over this. Almost all are amd user but all of them argued heavily on price thing i was yanking. everybody was claiming an AMD pc now comes almost at the same price if not more as compared to intel.
To me the major price difference should come in ram but it doesnt here(Bombay India); DDR and RD RAM are priced almost same and if that is not enough SD ram is priced Rs 250-500 (ok $6-10) less. To me that is Hidious.
To me AMD still is a bargain PC if configured properly and also if (as promised by some reports i have seen on net) the throughbred is compatible with palomino motherboard, then it will be an unbelievable BONUS.

Your stats are listed in a kind of confusing manor, it looks like all you got on the Tbred is the power consumption. Can you re-type it a little more clearly??
I have in fact heard before that most of the current XP mobo's will run the higher end chips, and the Gigabyte I'm running claims on their website it will handle the higher end cpu
Thanks kyro, hope i didn't sound bitchy !!
I wish the Intel heads would bother readin the tech info as we AMD fanatics do, then thet too would KNOW THE TRUTH !!
