Radeon All-in-Wonder 8500 vs Radeon All-in-Wonder 9000

I am planning on buying a new video card and some people I know say that the All-in-Wonder 8500 is better than the All-in-Wonder 9000.Is it actually better?.

No. The AIW 8500 is slower than the regular 8500. Only thing is a digital tv tuner which doesn't matter in 90% of the cases.

8500 is basically the same card as 9000. You won't notice a diffrence.

Just remember the 9000 can only do one texture per pass, so it will be beaten by quite a bit by the 8500 in multitexture games. The 9000 does have a faster pixel shader though, not that it makes much difference in current games.

Again, the AIW 8500 is slower. He will notice a significant difference. 8500 vs. 9000 is different than 8500 AIW vs. 9000 AIW.

They all have good points. I'd get the 8500. I have been using since it was released, gaming, recording stuff, etc, etc. Beware driver problems though. My box would lock up if I used my mouse before updating my drivers...
