and maxtor isn´t the first choice of HD´s
better go for seagate, they are much better and very silent!
and for what do u need 16MB cache?

OP
Well Dark Biene according what i read from the Review of www.PCgamer.com that Mertsch gave me from above link for the Maxtor 16 buffer
Now as about the SATA power is these the cable i need (my PSU does not have)

I think my Asus P4p800 Deluxe mobo had one like these included with 2 SATA connectors
In our opinion, the Maxtor DiamondMax 10 is the best 7,200 RPM drive on the market, bar none. We´re guessing both Western Digital and Seagate will no doubt respond with force within the next two months.

yes thats the right one but you can get a 1 molex to 2 sata for the same price
btw I would also recommend seagate since I got much positive experiences but the diamond max seems to be a solid thing

maybe thats right, Maxtor are the best at this moment
but what´s the best speed if that HD sounds like a hurricane?
ok, i never used a Maxtor, and i don´t like them
but with seagate u´ll get a very very good HD that´s really silent and fast at once
and if u can use them with Raid0, u´ll get a very good performence with low noise
what u want more?
16mb cache....for what are u using ur PC?
for digital Video works? as a large fileserver?
for a normal pc use?- than i could buy an alienware pc only to play counterstrike with 1000 frames..... nice :-)

yo, Dark Biene is right, stay away from Maxtors. hurricane deluxe.
I'm geared more toward Hitachi atm. Apparently their new drives are pretty good [400GB].
