Problems with Windows XP Pro

I have built a brand new system with the following things: Albatron PX-865PE Pro II ( Bios 1.03b) Intel P4 3 Ghz 800 Mhz FSB HT Zalman 7000A-cu copper cpu cooler 1 GB ( 2x 512) Kingston Hyperx Dual DDR 400(DDR 3500)CL2 2x Seagate 160 GB 8 Mb HDD/ ATA100 MSI Geforce 4 ti 4200 128 Mb ram ( my old card) ( Nvidia 52.

MSI Geforce 4 ti 4200 128 Mb ram ( my old card) ( Nvidia 52.14) AGP 4x
Raid-0 over the embedded promise raid controller
Intel Pro 1000 CT embedded network controller
Windows XP Pro with SP1 + "all updates from windowsupdate"
"PEM" enabled in Bios (Performance Enhancement Mode)
Intel chipset driver 5.0
120" Chassi fan
No overklocking has been done!
All bios settings are set to auto for Cpu/AGP/PCI/FSB speeds
Memory timings is set to 2-5-3-3 ( SPD settings acordning to bios)
I prefer Windows 2000 Pro but Win2k does not support HT as good as Windows XP.
The problem is that i have done a fresh install of WinXp and it boots fast and nice but sometimes when i have logged on it's just the blue screen.
It seems that windows stops loading after i have logged on!
The icons dosen't shows and i cant do anything.
I have not any unusal programs or special software installed.
If i run Windows 2000 everything runs smooth and fine.
But as i have support for HT in my system i want to take advantage on that.
Anyone with an ide??

Its your BIOS, Update it.
My system did the same thing, and I know of alot of system which have done the same thing. You could always re install windows over top of its self if you have data to back up.
Or if you have the newest one, try stepping back.
PS. You need to reinstall windows once you update the BIOS.
