1-

PNY warrants the purchaser that during the Warranty period specified below, the Product will be free from defects in material and manufacture, when used normally.
2
Before returning it, the purchaser must provide proof of purchase.
3
In the first 12 months from purchase, the Warranty will be serviced by the Distributor.
4
After this period, the purchaser must seek approval from the PNY warranty department, substantiating the date of purchase (invoice) and stating the reasons for claiming under warranty before forwarding the faulty Product to PNY.
5
Products must be sent to PNY carriage paid, in suitable packaging, by registered post with proof of delivery, and insured when appropriate.
6
PNY´s contractual obligations hereunder are limited, at the option of PNY, to repairing the Product, replacing the Product or refunding the purchase price of the Product.
7
PNY provides no warranty against the loss of digital or analogue data, images or sounds (including data stored on the Product when sent to PNY for repair), and assumes no liability for any such losses.
8
Any program from a third party supplier accompanying the Product is supplied as is. PNY shall not be deemed liable for the quality, performance, accuracy or effectiveness of such programs or any others.
9
Period of warranty:

PC MEMORY
10 years

FLASH MEMORY
2 years

CARD READERS
2 years

GRAPHIC CARDS
3 years

10
PNY´s entire liability as regards this Product, and the user´s sole remedy, is limited at most to refunding the price of the Product. PNY, or its approved partners or retailers, shall not under any circumstances be held liable for direct or indirect damage, loss of profit, loss of business or contracts, problems with use, savings not achieved, loss of data, losses suffered or gains not made.
11
The purchaser should thus ensure there is a backup copy on a second medium.

HOWEVER i also saw on the site something about the warranty only being valid for the lifetime of the production cycle of the card?

if this is the case i will be sending the card for an rma and getting another msi 9800pro (ive just sold my 1!)

Hi...
I had a PNY gf4 which burned out a little while ago. The card was about 2 years old when it burned. PNY had stopped shipping the gf4 to retailers and had begun to ship their FX cards.
I wrote an email to PNY explaining that my card had burned out and stopped working and also that i no longer had the reciept for the purchase. At the time PNY had a 5 year warranty on their cards.
I recieved a mail back from them stating they were happy to take a look at the card etc, so i posted it off to the addy that they sent me.
Several weeks later a parcel arrived back at my address from PNY. Inside the parcel was a brand new GF FX 5200 Ultra. Not only had they taken my busted card back without a reciept but they had also replaced it with a fairly decent upgrade.
I have to say, that in my opinion, PNY have a very good attitude towards the people who buy their products. All of the emails that they sent to me were polite and informal, almost friendly. I was treated with respect and my concerns were addressed in a very satisfactory manner. I would say to any readers of this post, that if you ever have any probs with PNY products, you will be well looked after by PNY regardless of any inconsistancies in their policy, they seem to use thier discretion with regards to the policy anyway.
