This is a discussion about PLS help me awnser this question about the abit is7 MB in the General Hardware category; i have got a abit IS7mohter board and i want to update my bios mine is now version 10 in the website there is a version 13 and 14.:roll: Can i just update it to 14 or do i have to update it to 13 first? :oops: My email is fatass_nv@hotmail.

you can just flash it to version 14.

The way bios flashes work is it totally rewrites the whole bios, plus the updates which were within version 13 are already within version 14

Make sure you read the instructions. For some, I have seen that you must update to the interim version first (some Asus I have seen this)

even more before it writes the chip it totally erases it ... thats why BIOS update can be a problem ... an empty chip is not that good

but I can't understand that all are warning before BIOS updates ..
OK first look if u really need it ... (changelog)
but then ..... if u just follow the steps as it should be only the loss of power can be dangerous
