Petition For ATI To Bring Back CPanel Back

We are up to version 5.13 and you are now forced to use the new Control Panel, the old one is no longer an option. By signing this petition you are telling ATI you might be boycotting future purchases of ATI hardware.

very good move!
What's wrong with the new interface ,is it so difficult to switch over?.
Things evolve and with a purpose, if things didn't evolve whe still uses M$Dos 1.0 .
Look over the past of the PC the last 25 years.
25 years ago whe programmed computers with switches ,with computers who have brains less than a calculator.
If developers had listen to petitions whe still have this calculators, and no games.
I advice you go on with the time, and stop thinking old fashion.

CCC is bloated crap ...
are you willing to install Windows XY if it would require a 512MB Graphics card to run fluidly while giving you exactly the same functionality as XP has ?
No you will not!
Anyway I'm boycotting ATi anyway since the driver wash-out back in 9800PRO times
and since I saw that even linking to the drivers is not possible - come on ?!?
nothing against new
but if the old is so good and the new is "buggy" why shoot the old ?
we have to choose between old and new
like DDR and DDR2
and if the new is ready to be really good than more will switch over and the old can go slowly away

It is possible to install the 5.12s without the CCC. Simply disable it by unchecking the CCC box at install time.
Use Radlinker or ATI Tray Tools to enable whatever tweaks you want.
Another option is to install both the drivers and the CCC, then uninstall the CCC. Either way works.
Then too, if one checks around one can find the 5.12s with the older control panel bundled with the drivers. They aren't on the "official site", but they are (or seem to be), an ATI driver set. Whether ATI will do the same with 6.1s who knows.
I signed the petition anyway. I like choice.

I tried the CCC with Catalyst 5.12 because there seemed to be no other choice. CCC didn't even start. Later I found out that it wasn't compatible with .NET Framework 2.0 but only 1.1. Then I found a driver suite on ATI's official site that had the old CP bundled so I was happy once more. But I really hope that I have that choice in the future as well. CCC is really crap and I wonder why it even exists. Instead of promoting it more and more ATI should think about why so many people refuse to use it. At first I thought they might have some kind of deal with Microsoft to speed up the distribution of the .NET Framework but as it doesn't work with 2.0 that doesn't seem to be the case.
I used it when it was first introduced and it crashed and avoided it ever since. I installed 5.13 with CCC and for whatever reason it started BSOD battlefield2 and crashing quake4. Back with 5.11 and cp and no problem. I thought maybe its my x800gto @16 pipes. Just tested it to 550Mhz core, 486 memory (memory downclocked my 2Mhz!).
