Oldschool Quake for XP question !!
Any tips/tricks on how to install the old 1.06 DOS version of Quake into XP ?! My old trick for 98 was to just dump out of windows, but when I try running setup.

Any tips/tricks on how to install the old 1.06 DOS version of Quake into XP ?! My old trick for 98 was to just dump out of windows, but when I try running setup.exe in a command window, it just doesn't cut it!!

i tried it and it looks awesome for quake 1
but for playing in 1024x768 my Hardware is to slow !!!
i can only play it good in 640x480 !
so check ur hardware before *smile*

HA... I almost deserve it.
Have you checked out Tenebrae 2? It's looking pretty sweet. Can't wait to give that a try. (Yes, I realize there's an early "leak" version of it on the site there, but it wouldn't work correctly for me).

I thought for good old dos you could use a dos boot floppy, like Shinobi's DOS :)
