1) try to keep it around 1024*768 res in this thread. (u can link thumbnails to bigger picture.) i recommend http://imageshack.us to host screenshots.
2) mention things used in modding.
3) post links to stuff as much as possible.
and people who like the stuff posted and want to know where to get it . PM the desktop screenshot poster.
You know the routine, start posting your desktop mod screenshot. or mod it for W2S and show it.
And, If you dont know how to mod (modify) your WindowsXP Desktop Look from

yes dimvlaan... the LH trans ones really work for everyones taste.... i liked the aero-day one .. but didnt lept it.

ok i just dont like windowblinds .... which i was using on my lap. the uxtheme just wasnt patching right.. but patching it in safe mode finally has worked.
so i modded this with my all time fav smoothstripes by kol and used D3A ICONS using iconpackager and for wallpaper go to this site Freudt.org

got a question for you:
I just discovered a funny thing: I watched my Pet Shop Boys DVD with Intervideo WinDVD 4, as I thought, try to capture a picture out of it.
So, I pressed "prt.scr" (the print screen-button on the keyboard), opened up Fireworks, made a new picture, insert with ctrl + v, saved it.
Then I went to the desktop properties, choose my just saved picture, set it as background image... and the DVD played on my desktop...!
In full screen, instead of just one image, the film kept on playing... ´till I stopped it and changed the dvd... then it doesn´t work anymore.
You ever tried that or even maybe have an explanation for such behavior?
Windows XP Home, SP2... very funny... but cool... !!

lol thats pretty funny and i havent had this experience.
one some day , i was playing matrix in bsplayer and i pressed d and the movie turned into wallpaper. that was totally funky experience and one of my friend came at my desk and was totally surprised... ofcourse later i told him bout bsplayer.

it is winamps's 5 default "modern" skin, with the good ol' winamp color theme
and the vs is called adv4v3 (i don't remember where i got it)
where can i get the longhorn transition pack?
