Hi all,
I purchased a HP nx 7300 laptop 10 months ago but have been unable to use it as it is locked. When i switch it on it only offers me two choices F9 Boot device menu or F10 ROM based set up. I can't get any further than that, can someone give me a clue as to how i get further than this in order to use it.
I thought that after such a long time it was about time i sorted it out.
can anyone help me unlock it so i can use it please ?????
thanks
Jackie

do you have the option to enter a password?
because there are many pages with master-passwords for the different BIOSes

No it doesn't even get that far. When i switch the laptop on i get the two options F9 Boot Device OR F10 ROM Based set up. I just can't get past that bit at all.
Thanks
What happens if you strike F9 then? Shouldnt it bring you a menu to choose from?
Ever try to hit "F2" when that screen comes? No? Do it.
Ever had a disc in the drive to boot from?
