I am off to buy one :P
This topic was started by Mister.de,
NVIDIA has released the latest drivers, version 42.68 for all 3DMark03 testing and benchmarking. This driver will greatly improve your benchmark performance when running the 3DMark03.
Download NVIDIA´s Detonator 42.68
...and please post your test results: Is the new Detonator a perfomance booster for the 3Dmark03 bench?
greetings

42.51: 1685 3D Marks
42.68: 1798 3D Marks
Most noticeable FPS improvment in test 1 - 2 & 3 gained about 6 FPS improvement (test 4 not run).
Have got a thin darkish band that appears in test 3, but not really that noticable.
UPDATE: just uninstalled and went back to 42.51 - 42.68 caused problems with icons and taskbar + BSOD and on reboot NV drivers wouldent load...!

over clocked 2000
I also tested them with the old 2001se 3dmark, and i noticed a difference
from stock 9300 to 9900 and o/c's 11,000
from stock 9300 to 9900 and o/c's 11,000
first my result:
before: 1663
after: 1781
2100XP+
A7N8X deluxe
2x512 @ 2/2/2
GF4 4600ti
and then, me just got this mail from hwextreme:
"1. Isn't these optimized drivers consider as "cheating" for 3DMark? They sacrifices image quality for the improved performance.
2. Why NVIDIA is releasing optimized drivers that doesn't give any extra performance for any other applications or games, but just for the improved score in 3DMark03?
3. Isn't this the same 'Quake/Quack' issue with ATi a few years back?
4. What is NVIDIA's motive for releasing optimized drivers for the Press?
Can you please help me post a new News in your website at Mister.de and Warp2Search? I need ppl to voice the comments and concern regarding this matter"
-done. .. and greetings
