Obviously the drivers are causing it but why?
Any suggestions what I should do?
I dont really like other drivers. I only download from Nvidia website (official) but if someone knows others that are better performing and advice it for me then please say because I hate this problem

it's possible that it's not the graphics card. I get these every once and awhile but according to event log the thing that crashed the PC was my firewall.

When it happens to me my firewall keeps on logging so much activity that it thinks the files are curupted and copys them again and again to differnet locations thinking that each one is currupted like it's predicessor and finally windows crashes and produces a lovely notiification on restart telling me that its my gfx card.......wtf?

the joys of windows

OP
My old drivers were perfect and no problems but I like to stick to my little rule of if its newer, it must be better. Dunno ive always had that. Hmmm could be heat. Ok ill rollback to old drivers. Ty

Oh and as for the firewall thing you said Sparkesy, I had that with my ZoneAlarmPro, it would freeze EVEYRTIME. Even when I JUST loaded WindowsXP Pro. I looked at the log and it was something to do with its TrueVector service so I had to uninstall it in the end. Just no good :(

Im not even sure what fast write or sideband addressing is I doubt I enabled that. Either way i've decided to format my computer *big big big sigh*. lol.
Hopefully this gets rid of my problems. Maybe I should clean the inside of my PC too, could be the dirt clogging up the fan on my GF4 too.
Thx.

Oh and Dark Biene you got ZoneAlarm Pro at all? Maybe that hangs it. I was going to post about that because it get freezing me (well, Truvector to be more specific) but I just uninstalled it.

Always check to see if your Graphics Card fan is spinning.
Clean out those Dust Bunnies.Better yet Pull off the fan and use some thermal grease and apply that past to the chipset as well as your heatsink fan if possible.

Another thing to check is the fan spinning @ a good rate if not pull off the fan, peal back the sticker and put a little dab or two of oil on that puppy.

a few free and easy suggestions: take the side-cover off the case and clean it out with a soft, clean paintbrish and compressed air. Power-up your box and look to see if there are any fans not spinning. Leave the cover off and look around your house for a small window or desk fan that plugs into a wall socket and use it to cool your system with it blowing onto your mobo. This will cool things down without question.
The 60.72 drivers that were posted on here while back work great with my ti4600, not one single blue-screen or freeze yet with any game/app...
