new build

This is a discussion about new build in the General Hardware category; i am planning to build a new pc based on the following spec : MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-EP31-DS3L CPU : INTEL CORE 2 DUO 2.8GHZ (E7400) GPU: GIGABYTE ATI RADEON HD4850 512MB DDR3 is there anthing wrong in this build or mayb some recommendation.

Not really,
but I don't know the reasons for choosing this mobo.

I personally would go with a P35/P45 with ICH9® or ICH10® (ICH7 is pretty dated)
® - if you want a RAID system

Also this GIGABYTE vs ASUS power saving shit is pure marketing bullshit ... actually those motherboard suck more energy then e.g. MSI board with some clever power saving strategy ...
I say that, because I fell for the ASUS advertising and later discovered, that its complete bullshit

If you want to build PC by yourself, the problem​ is that it can get tricky while you choosing the parts. And computer dealers usually don't help because they don't know either any better or have to pushing products of a particular company.
