hiho 1.how does BlueTooth perform if we look at power consumption compared to normal cordless technology. . . 2.if I buy e. g. a MX900 mouse with integrated Bluetooth Wireless Hub am I able to build up a network with this.

now I got another question ... If I buy a normal network switch capable to handle DSL line what happens if I connect 2 PCs to the hab and the DSL connection ... can both PCs access the internet with same IP or does one PC has network IP
for example is it possible to recieve file via trillian or not ?
its in my case the best solution .... then I just need a hub and one more network cable ...
and am I right ....
AUTO MDIX means that equal if I connect a crossover or normal CAT cable it will work ...

... BT is dead for me ... thats no solution .... now the only question is ....

my PC is sonnected via PPPoE to DSL modem and via crossover cable to the other PC ...
now I want to move with my PC into another room ....
this means @ my current position I want to place a DSL / network hub ...
which means
room 1 = 2nd PC --crossover--> hub(room2) --CAT--> room 3 my PC
also to hub goes DSL modem

you can use a straight cable to connect PC to router.
Hubs / Switchs / Routers, automatically cross the connection they put into it, thats why you use a straight cable, as opposed to PC to PC where the connections arent crossed, so you have the NIC talking to the same port on the other NIC which, it cant understand, so you use a cross cable to cross the 1 connections, sent to receive.

sure .... but when I use a cross cable and the connection is doublecrossed will the router detect it and say ... ups doublecrossing ... lets uncross it by sending it normal and let the cable cross it ...
I ask because I already have one crossover cable for the connection now .... do I need to replace it / buy one or can I just add one more

Well, your trying to connect 2 routers.
there for you have
2 crossed connections,
your going to need to cross that connection
Cuz if you use a straight cable, your going to go,
send - send
and
receieve - receieve
BUT if you cross those crossed connections
send - receieve
and
receieve - send
