hello Im new here hope to have a long run. I have some questions and some comments. First let me say neowin is wonderful site for news and forums. I was a memeber off and on there for 2 years.

hello Im new here hope to have a long run. I have some questions and some comments. First let me say neowin is wonderful site for news and forums. I was a memeber off and on there for 2 years. I went thru 15 names on their site and was often banned after just a few posts. usually between 30-60 posts. I sometimes disagreed with mods and admins.each time i decided to disagree i was banned. did neowin get so big that there are clicks now I think so. then to top it off there is no ground for appeals, and you cant even contact a admin or mod on the board unless your a member. today someone asked for the difference between nero ultra and enterprise. right off the posts were ou dont need it forget it. your an idiot dont ask. I posted offered to help him explaining the difference. I was again banned lol. the only statement was you back again. BANNED. I dare them to offer any instance. and logs whatever of me breaking neowin rules THEY CANT PERIOD. after e mailing every single admin and mod not one response. now either they are full of it or im a very dangerous person. when 15 mods not one will responde. So tonight I decided enough was enough and joined here wich also has great news and posts. looking forward to being a long member . hope I didnt start off on wrong foot just had to express my feelings.
here is what i wrote last which was removed with-in 5 minutes even under a new name .................................
why is it I have to use 15 names just be able to post, I never ever blantly disreguard the rules. my names are banned because I disgaree or offer help. Please dont think im challenging you im not.I get 30-60 posts then boom for no reason im banned why? I never give links, once in a while i may disagree with someone is this board so clicked that you have to be goody two shoes and agree with everyone god forbid dont be against the click. Im willing to bet you I am a member of more boards then most here.what is it you go thru the logs every blue moon and ban any bright.net person there are 600 employees at bright.net. then to top it off like most places you can at least talk to the mods and say what i do ok etc here you have to be a member even to approach the mods I dont get it. I really dont. if a mod would explain it to me maybe id get it and say forget it. but at this point after years of this ive never once gotten 1 reply. bet you wont get one here either BANNED. people should ask themselves if all this nonsense and click is worth it. you may be next.

I answered your email this morning (probably not soon enough for you) saying I would investigate the matter and explaining to you why after being banned once it's useless to create 15 new accounts. When you're banned from Neowin we mean YOU as a person not just the nickname you use.
Since you found a new home here I'll just leave your Neowin status as it is ... banned. I'm sure our mods had a very good reason to ban you in the first place. No one is ever banned for no reason.

lmao now thats funny. red you and neowin never cease to amaze me. you can ban 15 names, including 2 yeterday in a 15 minute period. but you come here and play the innocent owner of a board. the only reason you even posted and replied is because you or someone else from neowin saw tho post here. and god forbid anyone says anything bad about the great newoin. no disrespect but your full of it. Im quite sure if you took the time to reply here, you could have taken the time to see who banned the name and why . after all I own a board too and logs can be viewed in what 5 miniutes. the point is you and your staff run a hitler like board and operation. if anyone disagrees with you, your staff or anyone in neowins little clicks. they are banned and removed. its been discussed on that board and other boards as well. thus as you can se by few comments on this thread im not the only one has mixed feelings about you and your staff. as far as my status lol thats really funny it hasnt changed in over 2 years especially since 3 of the times you did the banning so please dont play the innocent owner who doesnt know whats going on. keep the status whatever you wish im not coming back nor do i wish to. I understand your problem ... we all like things or do not ... I don't like AOL and CS ... you don't like Neowin board ...

because I don't like AOL it won't shut down - it would be nice, wouldn't it

so just let it be ...

I just got a little mad because I was looking into your situation but checking out 15 accounts back to the first one that got banned takes a little time. I mailed you that I would look into your situation (I still haven't gotten a reply btw).
I take visitors complaints serious and try look at it from both sides. I always reply to the mails I get asap. (but not always the same day)

It's not automated. Our moderators recognize a previously banned person and therefore ban the newly made account as well. It can take some time before a previously banned person is recognized so he may have been posting with his new account for some time before he's banned again.

After reading this thread, am I correct in understanding that if a member of Neowin posts...inappropriately...shall we say, that they are just banned without warning or notice of the reason for their being banned? i.e. a particular post or verbage in a post, etc?
That seems to be what Guardian is implying and you have made no attempt to refute it in any way.

your exactly right, and dont wory he cant or wont. I was going to post the nasty e mail me he sent after complaining I didnt responde when i did with a polite e mail he replied with very nasty one. laughing that I was looking for sympathy from warp members needless to say i sent a most nasty one back. so i declined to post like the mod on here said this is no place for fights and its a no win battle. enough said.
Absolutely right Guardian. This is not a place for the Neowin battle. I only wanted an answer directly from a Neowin Moderator to my question because if indeed my assertions are correct then I think it is a totalitarian and dictatorial society which I no longer wish to be a part of and if I am proved incorrect then so be it, I will offer my apologies and continue on.
I just don't believe that someone should be arbitrarily banned from a community without at least being given the courtesy of someone in a position of authority saying something like "Hey, Val...you know that post you made to Guardian was totally inappropriate and if you read our membership agreement then you know that we do not tolerate insert offense of choice here here at XYZ Forums... So we're going to have to ban you. Nothin personal...just business. If you want you can take it up with the site ower(s) or whatever...and so on and so on." It's just common courtesy and makes the "offender" step up to a higer level of professionalism.
Again, just my 2 cents, not trying to start or perpetuate a war here.
