1) try to keep it around 1024*768 res.
2) mention things used in modding.
3) post links to stuff as much as possible.
and people who like the stuff posted and want to know where to get it . PM the desktop screenshot poster.
You know the routine, start posting your desktop mod screenshot. or mod it for W2S and show it.
And, If you dont know how to mod (modify) your WindowsXP Desktop Look from

I've had this LOTR themed Desktop longer than I've kept any other, because I really like it a lot.
The brown yellow colors are easy on the eyes and my wallpaper keeps the Icons visible, the hand shaped mouse Icon is from a cursorpack for Cursor XP from Object Desktop called Baldur's Gate. It blends in nicely.
Besides the positive aesthetic points, the movie is also great. 8)

I don't like these 3rd party themes because they always have design flaws (some buttons appear wrong at some areas, etc.) and the default Windows XP theme is too colorful and big. Thus I don't use any theme. Furthermore I like my desktop to be clean and functional.
The only thing I use are good wallpapers. So I only post my wallpaper (nobody has to see my desktop icons ).

that wallpaper is too much "confusing" to use it daily, it would give me a headache :P

I've got two types for you:
The Brown version
The Blue Version
See which one you like better.

I agreed with you, i'm using the classic style. One thing that can't be denied is that all desktops posted on this forum look great.

I am still trying to get a good overview without the "lock"... but don´t know exactly how to arrange them... ;-)
