Jet 4.0 Update: Issues with certain Regional and Language Options on Windows XP (KB913296)
This update provides proper default mapping in the Jet 4.0 Engine to the General (EN-US) LCID for language support added since the release of Windows 2000, and is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 913296. Jet 4.0 maintains sorting tables for a fixed list of LCID´s/languages. Many map to a native LCID/sort, while others will map to General (0x409).
