installed GF4 Ti4600
I just installed my VisionTek GF4 and am not getting hardly any performance improvement. I have AMD XP 1900+, XP Pro, 512 DDR RAM, Audigy, ASUS A7A 266 mb. Is very odd - I run 3D 2001 SE and it performs about the same on all the FPS tests.

Is very odd - I run 3D 2001 SE and it performs about the same on all the FPS tests. Then at the 'nature' section it is extremely stuttery. Then on other test it is significantly better - like the 8 light poly the motion is ten times better. In the end I score about 7500 (only about 250 better than with my LeadTek GF3 - which was overclocked to 220/535). I haven't overclocked the GF4 yet but would think that it would get much better performance w/o overclocking??? And what is up with the stuttering???
I am currently running the refresh rate compatible 2751s and have tried 4 differant drivers. I have AA off, v-sync off, and anistropic off. Any idea what is up?
I just tried in game and textures where all FUBAR - as well as frame rate at a crawl. I think I must have gotten a lemon.

The nature scene sometimes uses some software T&L instead of pure hardware T&L via the GeForce 3/4. Have you made sure you are using "D3D Pure Hardware T&L" and not just "D3D Hardware T&L"? If you were using D3D Hardware T&L, try it again.
Ordered from CompUSA over a month ago - guess I got one of the first out. I am thinking the card is just a lemon - as soon as I popped my GF3 back in everything was A-OK.
This is what Ive done. Lemme know what you guys think
