ie ftp usernames
This is a discussion about ie ftp usernames in the Everything Windows category; I posted this story, and I now find that the drivers are internally dated 26/10/01.An improvement on what I was using, but not what I hoped for. Don't know what Creative are doing dating them 3/1/02.

internet explorer keeps usernames for ftp sites accessed, how do I get rid of these, i.e.:
my mate just made an new ftp site so i logged into it but its kept the username i used in the pull down menu?
Not really important but just seems untidy having crappy names floating around Im never gonna use again.

sometimes just highlite & hit the delete button will delete them..........
hmm.. i think i know what you mean. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Contents [is a tab], Auto Complete [is a button]> Clear Passwords [is a button]

Yeh thats what I mean but it doesnt work for ftp usernames
my bad, i guess i didnt get what you meant. If you are running Windows XP / 2K, go to Control>User Accounts>Click on your user name > in the related tasks box, select manage my network passwords> it might be there
there is a slightly easier way getting there but i cant remeber.
that might do it, if not; not sure i can remeber any other placecs it could be.
