Hey
i read a review at PCworld on the IBM P77 17" monitor.
It gets the highest award ever given by pcworld.
But it sells at $345.
Now i found a site where they sell it for $226. But they say
it is refurbished. Can someone tell me what it means and go to the
website to check it out and tell me if you would buy this or not.
And if not tell me what is the best 17" CRT monitor now.
Thanks

Refurbished are usually 2nd hand, or warranty returned items that have been repaired and/or cleaned up by the store for resale.
Also IBM don't actually make thier own monitors, since the 77 uses a trinitron tube (owned by Sony and licensed to Mitsubishi-NEC) I'd say it's a rebadged Sony or top-end Mitsubishi, which are both excellent monitors. If you could pick up one of them with the same specs for less it may be worth it.
Otherwise just check on the warranty offered with the refurbished monitor and it should be ok.
