I plugged it into my main machine and installed the drivers from the hp site. all the buttins work, but when i am connected to the internet the light for connected doesnt light up.
Has anyone had this problem? is there a way to sort this out?

I work for HP, and it probably isnt working because its got some sort of soft function for the modem. If you have a different system, your light is toast.
if i transfer my old winmodem and connect throught then will it work?
the problem is that all the software for the old system is on the recovery disk, which obviously wont work on a self built computer. i have no o/s on this system so it would be nice to use the old programs including windows, which i have paid hard earned money for.
is there a way to hack the drivers so that the keyboard thinks that it is still using the old modem if i cant use the old modem?
thank you for your help
