How to improve W2S ?
In the past 1/2 year i had not much time to work on W2s, cause of my job which tooks a lot of time. I also noticed that we have lost some visitors and I would like to ask why ? Please state how to improve W2S to bring her back, what is missing, what you would like to see.

A site lifes from news but without people who bring in news it s difficult to post.

youre misunderstanding me?
its nothing complicated. just adding another label next to the name of the newseditor that posted the news.... same thing as there currently is in the "readmore" view.
the entire posting process would be the same. the article would be checked by a newseditor like it is now, with the submitter being either 'anonymous' or a name. and then when its posted and the front page is reloaded the page just uses the information in the db...
nothing is different except for one extra field being drawn from the database to the front page. no changes in the current posting cycle. not even adding more to the database... its just the same as always... just one more field drawn to the front page per post.

/me points to Neowin for a cosmetic style that works well, something along those lines would be nice and warm to read.
Forum downtime pees me off, so does the fact I have to double click a forum link as my pop up blocker doesn't allow me to connect first time :evil:

The DB brakes sometimes, don´t know why. But we will get an DB update soon to solve the problem. Hopefully...
umm ok ... i will just whisper that mysql shud be version 4.0 and run daba-table analyze and optimize by sqlyog or something similar , i guess it was done but i think needs to be re-run every week or so.
