How to fix Audigy Sound Crackling
This is a discussion about How to fix Audigy Sound Crackling in the General Hardware category; Too much time on their hands. Why do people feel the need to do things like this. What is the point!? Must be kids or immature minds. Sad as the world really needs constructive, creative individuals.

I solve this problem now without any 3rd party software.
I changed my IDE Controllers IRQ to 10
and the Audigy IRQ to 15
Ethernet Adapter to 11
also pushed the PCI Latency a bit higher to 255 CLks.
(Will test it later if it has any perfomance loses)
(Not sure if it works on any other system, just give a try)
But for now everything is running fast without any sound probs :D

I didn't even know it had a sound "crackling" problem
I wouldn't hear that anyway right now, stuffed my left ear with a noise reduction thingie, I think I severly damaged my hearing this saturday, frickin' rockband playing too loud. :cry:

Nah, now it's just ringing, frickin' ear. makes me crazy. Going to try getting some sleep. :)

thought this only happens with VIA boards. I installed the VIA latency patch and it went away.
Actually I have a VIA board :roll:
