Half life 2 is unlocking and getting ready to be played!!

Don't make me laugh. I bought the game today and it took under 10 mins to install and 2 hours later I still can't play it because the crappy steam authenticator keeps timing out.
Why create a huge marketing buzz about a product and then fail to deliver!! It is worse than not bothering. In this market you only get one chance so you must ensure there is enough server bandwidth to cope.
Who ever devised this system should be sacked for gross incompetence. Imagine buying a car and then having to wait weeks before they sent you the keys? Wouldn't buy it would you!!
TBH I won't be in a rush to buy another Valve game which is a pity because I'm an ATI fan and I think Gabe Newall tries hard. Pity it's years overdue, over budget and saddled with this shi**y steam registration.
