ok, I know when I use Power DVD my center speaker works when I watch DVD's, When I use winamp 2 or 3, it doesnt work!

My speakers have a manual control for 4 speakers or 6 speakers, so I set it for 4 speakers and it works, because it splices the channels and uses it as a mid from left to right, when I put it on 6 it doesnt work, UNLESS I use power DVD or My creative control panel and click "test" and it says Center, and it works fine!!!!

So I want to know
A) is their a plugin for winamp to use it?
or is their some kind of fix I dont know about?

Thanks guys
my speakers are "http://www.altecmm.com/product_details.asp?pID=251&sID=1"

They Require a 5.1 card, so my sound card is a SBlive Dolby Digital 5.1 card!!!!!!

Helpxor me!!!!!!

Thanks duders

for the centre speaker to work you need a 5.1 signal like on DVDs that's why it works with your PowerDvD and not winamp 2 or 3 cos in 4 speaker mode if you listen closely it's the same sound out put to all the speaker! to get a true 5.1 sound you need a signal that's encoder in 5.1 which will have separate signal: one for centre ,left ,right ,Rear right ,Rear left and finally one for the sub! like on your DVD

so if you want winamp to work in 6 speaker mode you need some tracks that are encoder in 5.1

my Cambridge 5.1 thingie automaticly sends signals to the center speaker, even in stereo. the same way as it can generate a music field where the sound is dispersed throughout the room according to frequency.

the center speaker shouldnt just be silent.

Yea, Mine can do that, but its not digital when I have it enabled and its not clear and pretty, I wish It would be a true 5.1 sound digital w00t
