Viewsonic or NEC of major brands with 1280 by 1024 at min of 75Hz is what you need

My 19" NEC fe950 monitor is sooooo nice!! I recommend it to anyone...very high resolution anf high refresh rate

1st of all, don't get a refurb because CRT's have a limited lifespan, in addition to whatever possible damage may have been done to them before. Secondly, look in stores in addition to using pricewatch.com or pricegrabber.com because online shipping for CRT's is horrendous. 3rdly, the best brands are either samsung or viewsonic (NEC has been pretty good from personal experience too.)

Furthermore, as for the IBM there, if you are gonna go with it then you connect the DVI cable to the card, simple as that, although unless you have a 6800 ultra or a workstation card you'll have VGA also.
