Gigabyte GA 7 VAXP BIOS Update
This is a discussion about Gigabyte GA 7 VAXP BIOS Update in the General Hardware category; HEY Everyone. I recently changed my system and installed the 7VAXP and a Radeon 9700 PRO. Got good score in 3dMark2001SE (12715) with no overclocking. Then I got the F6 BIOS update for my board which stated that one of its' fixes was for CPU -> Agp performance.

Then I got the F6 BIOS update for my board which stated that one of its' fixes was for CPU -> Agp performance. I flashed and ran 3dMark again and what do you know? Now getting 12937. Not a huge increas, but on inspection of individual frame rates I came accross something strange.
Before new BIOS - Environment Bump Mapping = 98.4 FPS :-?
After BIOS Update - Enviroment Bump Mapping = 198.3 FPS
Very strange, but I am very grateful.
Anyone else running similar/same setup come accross this?

I installed the F6 BIOS update. Sadly the fix it gave me was for ATI based cards only (they said this in the release details / fixes, but who knows?? it may help NVIDIA based cards as well )
I am now onto the F9 BIOS and still going strong.
