I dont hav Gigabyte board. But You should read the manual for FSB settings and match them with the CPUs Fsb recommendation

BTW, I think Gigabyte also provides Overclocking software either with the Mobo or/also on the site. try it and Use it with Caution ... dont wanna loose ur mobo for a couple of FSBs

The reason I want to put my FSB up is because I have a AMD XP 2000+ that is supposed to run at 1.6 gigs but its only going at 1.2 gigs. I just want the most out of my processor.

Ahh .. Ok

I have a strong feeling the FSB is on 100 and it should be set on 133 ... check in Manual , how to change to 133 .. if its not

Just yesterday I whent into my BIOS and found something that had the number 100. It was the CPU Host Clock. It was running at 100 Mhz. In my manual it had 100 Mhz and 133 Mhz so changed it from 100 to 133 and my computer woulnt boot anymore. So I just took the battery out and it set me BIOS back to normal. Was the CPU Host Clock the right thing to change?

And another thing. On my motherboards box it says the following

Socket A FSB 200 / 266 CPU does that have anything to do with it?

BTW can U please post your Mobo Model Name/Number ?

Socket A FSB 200 / 266 CPU

Exactly , that means ur CPU should be on 133 ... (133*2=266).

And no You dont select CPU frequency from bios. See in the manual for a mobo pic .. there should be Jumper setting for CPU FSB for either 100 or 133 .. look at the manual PICs and look at the Jumper on your mobo (Jumper Number should be mentioned in the Manual) ... if its not on 122 . do it .. then boot your PC..

REMEMBER .. do all this when you have POWER-OFFed your PC.

What do you mean if its not on 122? I thought it was 133?

I found a page in my manual saying CPU Speed Setup.

Theres a table and it says

0: ON / X: OFF

Then it goes

SW1 1:CPU CLOCK
1:ON 100Mhz (Default)
1:OFF 133Mhz

Do I put it at the one that syas 1:OFF 133 Mhz?
