GeForce FX Go5200 drivers

This is a discussion about GeForce FX Go5200 drivers in the Nvidia General Topics category; I tried to update my laptop's drivers, but it didn't recognize the card with the setup utility. I tried a manual update, and found that it doesn't list the Go cards.

I tried to update my laptop's drivers, but it didn't recognize the card with the setup utility. I tried a manual update, and found that it doesn't list the Go cards. I made it install as a regular 5200. All seems ok, but will this cause any problems? I can also make it install as a 5200 Ultra. I'm mainly just wondering what the difference is.

yes its just a .inf mod .... nearly every det works with mobility cards, too but in some cases mobility / go cards have different timings or special need that needs special driver that why nv disabled it ... in genereal you just need to add you model to the model definition database (found in the .inf) to install the driver ... with premade packages or just the .inf file its equal
