I recently bought a new mainboard, the EPoX 8RDA+, and it ran fine..... until, me being the stupid me I am decided to flash the BIOS.....

Without looking to thoroughly into the EPoX site, I decided to download the latest BIOS from the site. I downloaded that and then proceeded to flash from windows, using the Flash utility off the CD supplied with the mainboard.

This is when all the troubles started.... I restarted and..... nothing, just a quiet beeping sound from the cases speaker..... hmm, I thought 'what have I done now'..... well not really but admins won't appreciate me posting the truth on here.

Newayz, I went and had a look on the EPoX site and I saw under the FAQ's this - quoted from EPoX
"Our Nvidia based motherboards use a different style of BIOS chips than our other products. To successfully flash the BIOS you will need AWDFLASH.EXE v8.22a or newer. Older flash tools will corrupt the BIOS and leave the board dead. Please ensure to only download BIOS updates for our boards from an official EPoX website. Please note BIOS update files are not interchangeable between the EP-8RDA and EP-8RDA+."

Well according to them my BIOS is rooted now
Can ne1 confirm this or had a similar experience ??

he he he he he....
Contact the vendor you bought it from and play stupid. Tell them your new board just suddenly quit working and you have no idea why. Ask them for a RMA to get another one if it's still under warranty (it should be). If they don't help you contact the manufacturer and ask them the same thing. Say a little as possible to them other than you want your defective board replaced.
Let this be a lesson to you. ALWAYS make sure you know what you're doing when flashing BIOS or firmware. Welcome to the club...
