Folder Views

How can I keep the view settings for individual folders on my desktop different. I like the contents of some folders to be viewed as large icons and others to be viewed in detail.

How can I keep the view settings for individual folders on my desktop different. I like the contents of some folders to be viewed as large icons and others to be viewed in detail. I can change them to what I want but the next time I start the computer all views default back to large icons. The only reference in windows help, tells you how to "set all folders to same view". I am using windows 2000.

I am using XP but i thought this option is also in old windows ... it called

"Remember each Foldes View settings"

but this mean ... it ONLY uses them if u open the folder directly ... if u goto my workplace and navigate to it u will get same as my workplace

I can see posting your hardware specs (obviously, because I do so) but, well, to put it bluntly, who gives a damn about your driver versions?
