First Date.....what to do ?

I know, this is not computer releated and i don t know if it fit s into this forums, if not, please close or delete this topic.
I post here because i searched the web for a suitable forum but i had no luck and because i am a daily reader of warp and this community and i saw posts with similar topics and a lot of good answers and tips, i decided to try posting my problem here.
Ok guys, i am a bit nervous because this evening i have my first blind date.
Don t get me wrong, i allready have meet some girls but this is the first time that i don t not know the person before i meet here.
I know her from school (saying hello and good bye) but that´s it.
I stumbled into this situation to ask her to meet with me, it was not planned, but she s very cute and so i want to try it.
We will meet in a restaurant this evening, i pick her up before and after this we have planned to drink a cocktail in a nice hotel.
But i don t know what to say to her and i am bit scared about it to make myself to a complete idiot.
Maybe you guys have some tips and tricks for me, topics we can talk about, tips have to kill the "speechless time" when knowbody knows what to say ? I think you all know this situation ;-)
I hope for some serious answers, admins, if it does not fit, please notify me.

Give her a rundown of the latest news on tech items, that'll sure win her over
Okay so it won't work on all women hehe, best thing to do is to talk generic stuff, wander around several topics, interests, future plans etc. Until you hit something that she can feedback on and then perhaps get into a deeper discussion on the issue, more than likely you will hit one topic and it will jump to something different mid-discussion, happens all the time and is good for wasting time.
Don't delve too deep into you, this is Date #1, meant to scan for intrigue and interest. If she's interested she will probably be very active in a discussion, if not then you will notice those "speechless time" getting longer and longer between topics.
It's a bit like walking through an unknown house looking for the remote control with a blindfold on and all you have are your hands and feet to guide you. After awhile you start getting good at it and the other senses take over.
People say to be yourself, but that's nice and dandy for someone that's living with you already, sometimes they forget that you gotta run SAA (Self Anti-Aliasing, hehe) to smooth your jaggies a little to keep things going
