FireGL X1 problems

Recently I was given the ATI Fire GL X1 128 Megabyte graphics card. I understand that while this card is aimed at the high end workstation scenario and optimised for opengl based applications, I was wondering if there is a way I can improve the status of games when running them on this card.

Recently I was given the ATI Fire GL X1 128 Megabyte graphics card.

I understand that while this card is aimed at the high end workstation scenario and optimised for opengl based applications, I was wondering if there is a way I can improve the status of games when running them on this card.

I have installed the latest driverset for the GL X1 line of cards.

As this card is based on the 9700 gpu core - has anyone had any success getting Catalyst drivers installed? Do patched drivers exist ? The current driverset for this card is what seems to be the problem concerning running latest games / card demo's. Any help would be appreciated :)

i don't know to be honest but hay u were given a £1000+ graphics card so don't moan

If u like you could send me the FireGL X1 and i'll send u my Radeon9800

I think most ppl want it the other way round tbh they want to patch there gaming card into a FireGL to get the OpenGL Application speed gains, but nevermind, you could always ask ATi if they would improve game speed or include a gaming mode for the card they do at least read every feedback email they get :)

OP
I'm not moaning lol! As tempting as an offer it may seem, I'll stick to my FireGL thanks

I found that it was possible to create a set of drivers that are DX9 compatible for the X1. So far so good :)
