dvd region mismatch!!
This is a discussion about dvd region mismatch!! in the General Hardware category; hello. i want to backup a movie but dvd shrink ( and other programs ) says this : dvd region mismatch, dvdshrink can't open the disk unless you change the region code of your dvd drive.

current drive region : 4

What is this?.. i only can change it 4 more times?.. and then what?..
help please.

use a hacked firmware :D
If I remember right, you can use DVD Decrypter to break the dvd region and rip it on your hard disk. After that, just mount the dvd image and use your dvdshrink to back it up...
when changing the region code the last time its locked
just search the web for unlocking tools
there are very much tools that allow region free DVD playing
maybe you should try to DVD Decrypter http://www.dvddecrypter.com/
to rip the DVD
