Disable nView?

It doesn't matter, anyways. I took off nView a few months ago and it didn't make any difference. .

I have XP. I received notification that updates were avail and ready to be installed. I went to the default site, downloaded all that was recommended...one of which was Nvidia driver. I installed everything and ever since, my screen periodically goes blank for about 3 seconds, twice in a row. I've disabled that Nview Desktop junk and it did nothing to improve it.
Anyone have any ideas what's going on with it?
Thanks!
