I installed the DirectX 9.0a in the WinXP+SP1 and all time that the dxdiag utility is executed the CPU utilization is in 99% to the all instant.
Somebody already noticed this behavior? This can be considered normal? :-?

it is in the first few mins where it searches for version numbers and WHQL signatuers, but it shouldnt keep on using that much.
It does. My task manager continuously showed 99% usage - even though all my other apps worked fine with the remaining 1%... :lol:
On a PIV 3.06Ghz HT enabled it levels out at 50% CPU usage. Nifty piece of MS code... :o
nope, it runs like a normal app here cpu load 30%
